The cyclocross specific Donderdag Bike Park will provide racers with a creative, fast, and technical course that’s guaranteed to be both challenging and fun.

Park between the house and the barn, or, park at the next driveway to the north on Woodland, under the trees, stay inside the fence line. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRAVEL DRIVE ALONG THE HOUSE, OR NEXT TO THE SPLIT RAIL FENCE ALONG THE GRAVEL DRIVE, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO MOVE YOUR CAR, THIS IS EMERGENCY ACCESS. Watch for mud and wet soil. You do not want to get stuck.

Schedule of Events:

5:00pm – Course opens for warm-up* & registration

5:35pm – B-race start – Cat 4/5 (25 minute race)

6:05pm – A-race start – Cat 1/2/3 (40 minute race)

6:10pm – Skill clinics begins (30-40 minutes)

Entry Fee and Registration

$10.00/day – Adults

$5.00/day – Juniors

Registration will open at 5:00pm.

All racers must present a valid USAC license or purchase a 1-day license ($10.00). Riders using 1-day licenses will need to purchase a new license for each day they participate. If you’re going to race CX and participate in the majority of these events we recommend purchasing an annual license (~$70.00). All forms will be on-site. All USAC rules apply.


Practice Race Guidelines

B-race – Category 4/5 – 25 Minutes

A-race – Category 1/2/3 – 40 Minutes

This is purely a practice race with no race numbers, no points, and zero prizes. The goal of this event it to get in a solid workout and practice skills. We encourage racers to push their limits, respect your fellow racers, and remember this isn’t one of those super serious races with $20 bucks and a bottle of olive oil on the line…

We will not keep track of official results, but bragging right and potential social media glory are still on the line. When possible, the top 3 of each race will be recorded and posted online for the world to see!

Skill Clinic Curriculum

Each day we’ll cover a different topic to improve your cyclocross skills and knowledge. Example items we’ll cover:

  • Starts
  • Cornering
  • Linking turns
  • Dismounts
  • Remounts
  • Barriers
  • Tire pressure
  • Heckling
  • Manuals (popping your front wheel up)
  • And more!
Kent Woermann

Kent Woermann is the owner/operator of Move Up Endurance Coaching. He is currently a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a category 1 license in road, mountain bike, and cyclocross disciplines.
